ULINE Children of Employees Scholarship Program
Deadline to apply: February 17, 2020 3:00 pm CT

The ULINE Children of Employees Scholarship Program (UCESP) was established in 2014 by Uihlein family members in order to assist children of ULINE employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the ULINE Children of Employees Scholarship Program must be:

  • Dependent* children, age 24 and under, of full-time ULINE employees (or those on approved leave of absence) who have a minimum of three (3) years of employment with the company as of the application deadline date.
*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • Children of deceased employees (full-time employees who met requirements at the time of death) are also eligible to apply.
  • High school seniors or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates, who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire 2020-2021 academic year.

Children of ULINE officers are ineligible to apply.

Award Amounts

The authorized distribution for new and renewal awards will be $300,000. Up to 40 awards (estimated new and renewal) of $7,500 each will be granted.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study and continuation of the program by ULINE.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal.

Financial need is not considered. Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of ULINE play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.  Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in April. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of ULINE. Payments are made in equal installments in August and December.
