The U.S. Cellular® Scholarship Program is designed to promote education and make financial assistance for education available to sons and daughters of U.S. Cellular associates. Our scholarship program is symbolic of our conviction that education is key to America’s future. We sincerely hope that these scholarships will be of lasting value to those students who receive them. We at U.S. Cellular are delighted to invest in the future of our work force.
Applicants to the U.S. Cellular Scholarship Program must be:
*Children of U.S. Cellular Officers are not eligible for this program.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 award. Up to five (5) awards will be granted this year.
No more than one award will be granted at a U.S. Cellular location in the same year provided there are qualified applicants. A limit of one award per family per year may be granted.
Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study, continued employment of the student’s parent at U.S. Cellular, and continuation of the program by U.S. Cellular. Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Applicants will be notified by late May whether or not they have been selected to receive an award.
Payment of Scholarships
Awards will be processed in two equal installments by Scholarship America on behalf of U.S. Cellular. Checks will be mailed directly to each recipient’s home address on August 1 and December 15. If eligible, a renewal application will be included with your December check. Checks are payable to the educational institution for the student.
