Vista Outdoor has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Vista Outdoor Learning for Life Scholarship Program must:

  • Be dependent* children, age 26 and under, of full-time** North American employees of Vista Outdoor who have a minimum of one year of employment with the company or its wholly owned affiliates as of the application deadline date.
*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • Be high school seniors/students in their final year of upper secondary school or graduates who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, vocational-technical school, or CEGEP institution (or equivalent) for the entire upcoming academic year

**Full-time is defined as employees who are scheduled on average 32 hours a week or more

Children of officers of Vista Outdoor (as defined by Vice President and higher positions) are ineligible to apply.

Awards are one-time only and are not renewable. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements; however, applicants may receive an award only one time. The award payments will be issued in U.S. dollars (USD).

The selection of recipients will reflect and be representative of Vista Outdoor’s locations, as long as there are qualified applicants.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Vista Outdoor. Payment is made in mid-August.
