Voya Investment Management has established a scholarship program with the goal to award scholarships to those individuals who are underrepresented within financial services. These individuals include but are not limited to individuals of the Black or African American; Hispanic or Latino; American Indian or Alaska Native American; Asian; or Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander communities. Individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in the financial services industry are preferred.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the Financial Services Diversity Scholarship Program must meet all of the following criteria:

Preference will be given to students expressing an interest in a future career in the financial services industry including all relevant fields of study (financial technology, economics, data and analytics, marketing, sales, communications, etc.).
Financial need will be considered. Recipients must demonstrate need.
Assuming there are qualified applicants, Scholarship America will select up to fifteen (15) finalists from the eligible colleges and universities and the AWD Wholesaler Development ProgramTM and Voya Investment Management will interview and select recipients. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as finalists/recipients.
Voya will select up to 2 (two) individuals as scholarship recipients. If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $10,000 award for their junior year. Awards are renewable one year; Scholars who remain in good academic standing may receive an additional award for their senior year of $10,000. Awards are for undergraduate only.
Recipients will be provided opportunity for mentorship and an offer for a paid internship the summer immediately following their junior year to help prepare them to compete in the job market after college. Employment opportunities will depend on availability and are not guaranteed.

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Voya Investment Management. Payment is made in August.
