Integrated DNA Technologies, Inc. has established the Joseph and Elizabeth Walder Scholarship Program to assist Integrated DNA Technologies global associates who plan to continue their education in college or professional certification coursework related to the associate’s role at the company.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards for this scholarship are granted to eligible recipients without regard to creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the Joseph and Elizabeth Walder Scholarship Program must:
Associates at grade level M4 and above (IDT L1 associates) are not eligible to apply.

In addition to the Joseph and Elizabeth Walder Scholarship Program, the Scholarship America Hub can provide you access to additional external scholarship programs you may be eligible to apply for once you complete your profile. A profile has to be completed in the Scholarship America Hub to start the Joseph and Walder Scholarship Program application. PLEASE NOTE: No minimum GPA is required for this program. The Recommender and Documents sections on the Hub are not utilized for IDT’s program, but a completed Associate Coursework Approval form is required to be uploaded with your application.
Awards
Up to 16 awards will be granted as follows:
Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
(NOTE: A student may only receive the $10,000 USD award one time. If selected as a recipient in future years, previous recipients of the $10,000 USD award will only be eligible to receive a $2,000 USD award.)
Awards are for undergraduate and graduate study, as well as professional certification coursework.
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of a statement of goals and aspirations, and unusual personal or family circumstances. Financial need is not considered.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Danaher Corporation or Integrated DNA Technologies, Inc. play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Notification
Applicants will be notified in late July. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Integrated DNA Technologies, Inc. The $2,000 USD award payments are sent in one installment in mid-August, and the $10,000 USD award payment is sent in two installments in mid-August and mid-December. Recipients outside the U.S. will receive wire transfers upon verification of enrollment.
