The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. *Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.

  • Be high school seniors or graduates or current college undergraduates (Students outside the United States must be in their final year of upper or higher secondary school or be current technical or university level students).
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school or CEGEP (or equivalent) for the entire upcoming academic year.

  • Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements*.
  • Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Applicants will be notified in June. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of the Ware Malcomb Foundation. Payments are made in one installment in early August to recipients in U.S. and Canada and via wire transfer to recipients outside of U.S. and Canada. Award payments are issued in U.S. currency.

*Per IRS Revenue Procedure 76-47, the employment eligibility requirement does not apply to previous recipients.

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience

Ware Malcomb values teamwork, design, creativity, community involvement, entrepreneurship and the pursuit of excellence. Consideration will be given to children and dependents of Ware Malcomb employees who emulate these values.
