Wells Fargo Team Members' Dependent Children Scholarship Program
Deadline to apply: March 19, 2020 11:59 pm CT

Wells Fargo has established a scholarship program to assist Wells Fargo team members’ dependent children who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin.

Applicants to the Wells Fargo Team Members’ Dependent Children Scholarship Program must be:

  • Dependent children*, age 26 and under, of regular or part-time U.S.-based Team Members (or their domestic partners) of  Wells Fargo or its affiliates, who have a minimum of one year of employment with Wells Fargo as of the application deadline date of March 19, 2020.
  • Current high school seniors/final year of secondary school or high school/secondary school graduates, or college/post-secondary undergraduates or college graduates who are enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate or graduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire academic year.

All previous recipients may reapply if they meet the above criteria.

Awards
Awards will range from $1,000 to $3,000. Awards amounts will be based on financial need.

Undergraduate awards are renewable up to three years. Graduate study awards are renewable up to one additional year. Awards are renewable on the basis of satisfactory academic performance, full-time enrollment and continued parental employment.

The maximum total number of years a student may receive an award is limited to six (6) times including past recipient years. Renewal awards cannot transfer from an undergraduate degree to a graduate degree. Undergraduate recipients must reapply for graduate awards.

Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, a statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, financial need and one outside recommendation.

The percentage of scholarship applications received for each ethnicity will match the percentage of applications awarded to qualifying applicants.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Wells Fargo play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification
Applicants will be notified in mid-June. Check your email regularly. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Wells Fargo. Payments are made in one installment in early August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following document(s):

  • Current, complete transcript of grades/academic record. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades, credit hours for each course, and term in which each course was taken.

Also as part of your application, one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf.
