Wheels Scholarship Program
Application status: Closed

Wheels, LLC. has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited, not-for-profit, two- or four-year college or university of the student’s choice.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Wheels Scholarship Program must:

  • Be dependent* children, age 23 and under, of full-time Wheels, LLC. employees who have a minimum of one (1) years of employment with the company as of the application deadline date.
*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.

    • natural child of the employee
    • legally adopted child or legal ward of the employee
    • stepchild of an employee whose spouse has legal custody of the child
    • stepchild of an employee whose spouse has primary responsibility for the child’s financial support
  • Be current high school graduating seniors, graduates who plan to enroll, or students who are already enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited, not-for-profit, two- or four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).
  • Children of Vice President level and above are ineligible to apply.

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $4,000 award. Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in a full-time course of study, continued employment of the student’s parent at Wheels, LLC. and continuation of the program by Wheels, LLC.

Awards are for undergraduate study only, excluding internships.

Applicants will be notified by Wheels, LLC. in July. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
