WP Beverages - Pepsi Scholarship Program

WP Beverages is proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of high school seniors and college undergraduates through the annual WP Beverages – Pepsi Scholarship Fund. The purpose of the scholarship is to reward community scholars, dependents of employees, and part-time employees who look to further their education and are passionate about creating a better future through school and community involvement, leadership, and citizenship.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the WP Beverages – Pepsi Scholarship Program must:

    WP Beverages – Pepsi Community Scholarship:

  • Applicant must be a resident of the United States, residing in the WP Beverages service area:
    • Illinois counties: Boone, Bureau, Carroll, Dekalb, Fulton, Henderson, Henry, Knox, Lee, Mercer, Ogle, Rock Island, Stark, Stephenson, Warren, Winnebago, and Whiteside.
    • Indiana counties: Carroll, Cass, Fulton, Howard, Miami, Tippecanoe, Wabash, and White.
    • Michigan counties: Chippewa, Delta, Dickinson, Iron, Luce, Mackinac, Menominee, and Schoolcraft.
    • South Dakota counties: Aurora, Beadle, Bennett, Bon Homme, Brule, Buffalo, Charles Mix, Davison, Douglas, Gregory, Haakon, Hand, Hanson, Hughes, Hutchinson, Hyde, Jackson, Jerauld, Jones, Kingsbury, Lyman, McCook, Mellette, Miner, Sanborn, Stanley, Sully, Tripp, Washabaugh, and Yankton.
    • Wisconsin counties: Adams, Ashland, Brown, Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Door, Florence, Iowa, Jefferson, Juneau, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Marinette, Oconto, Outagamie, Price, Rusk, Sauk, Sawyer, Shawano, and Taylor.

    OR

    WP Beverages – Pepsi Dependents of Employees Scholarship:

  • Be dependent* children, age 26 and under, of full-time or part-time WP Beverages employees employed with the company as of the application deadline date.
    *Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
    Children of officers (Vice Presidents and above, Shareholders) are ineligible.
  • OR

    WP Beverages – Pepsi Part-Time/Seasonal Employees Scholarship:

  • Be a part-time/seasonal WP Beverages employee employed with the company as of the application deadline date.
  • AND

  • Be high school seniors or graduates or current college undergraduates.
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year in the United States.
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).

Awards

WP Beverages – Pepsi Community Scholarship
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $1,000 award. Up to ten (10) awards will be granted.

WP Beverages – Pepsi Dependents of Employees and Part-Time/Seasonal Employees Scholarship
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $1,000 award. Up to five (5) awards will be granted.

Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate study only and can be used for any education-related expenses.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in June.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of WP Beverages. Payment is made in early August.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Financial need will not be considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of WP Beverages play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than May 2, 2024 3:00 pm Central Time.
