Wright Medical Technology College Scholarship Program

Wright Medical Technology Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist dependent children of full-time Wright Medical Technology Inc. domestic employees who plan to continue their education in college programs. Scholarships are offered for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice for the upcoming school year.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be dependent* children, age 25 and under, of full-time Wright Medical Technology Inc. domestic employees.
    *Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • Be high school seniors or graduates or current postsecondary undergraduates.
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • High school seniors must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).

Children of Vice President and above are not eligible.

Award Amounts

If selected as a recipient, awards will be awarded as follows:

  • $2,500 to recipients attending a four-year institution
  • $1,250 to recipients attending a two-year institution

Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal.

Financial need will not be considered.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in June.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Wright Medical Technology Inc. Payments are made in one installment in mid August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grade and credit hours, and term in which the course was taken.

Also as part of your application, two (2) online recommendation forms must be submitted on your behalf by 3:00 p.m. Central Time on May 10, 2019.

Your application is not considered complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
